The JaneDear Girls are a country duo fronted by Danelle Leverett and Susie Brown. Both were already pursuing music careers when they met at a Nashville club. Big & Rich's John Rich became an early supporter and helped them secure recording, management and publishing deals. Brown, a Utah native, was playing violin at 4 and won her age group in the Utah State Fiddle Contest at 10. She honed her skills as a singer and instrumentalist in her family's band and at high school musical events. After moving to Nashville, she worked as a backup singer and instrumentalist for several artists. Leverett, a Texas native, was a highly competitive gymnast until high school when downtime due to a pole-vaulting injury led her to guitar playing and songwriting. She won a regional songwriting competition, and while in college, signed an independent label deal. After graduation, she moved to Nashville. The duo's first single, "Wildflower," was released by Warner Bros. Nashville in 2010.
